HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair: Buyer Guide

The HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair runs every April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and it is the single most useful show for buyers sourcing promotional and gift-channel electronics. Casun has exhibited there, and this is what we tell first-time visitors.
Why this fair matters for electronics buyers
Hong Kong is a visa-free, duty-free meeting point. A buyer from Europe or the Middle East can see 30 suppliers in three days without a China visa, and samples can be carried home in hand luggage. For power banks and Bluetooth speakers, that matters because the product has to be held to be judged - weight, button feel, and how loud it actually plays.
What to check at each booth
- Ask for the rated output capacity, not the cell capacity. On a 20,000mAh unit, expect roughly 10,400-11,100mAh of usable 5V output.
- Hold the unit. A 20,000mAh power bank that weighs far less than 400g is not carrying 20,000mAh of cells.
- Ask which certificates are current, and for the report numbers. UN38.3 for air freight, IEC 62133 for cell safety, CE and FCC for the destination market.
- Confirm MOQ and tooling cost before discussing logo printing, because a custom housing changes both.
What we bring
Our booth usually carries the current power bank range (magnetic wireless, fast-charge, solar) plus Bluetooth speakers and TWS earbuds. MOQ starts at 100 pcs for most models, samples ship in 5-7 days, and bulk production runs 15-25 days.
Practical notes
The fair overlaps with the Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) in the same complex, so plan two days if you are sourcing both components and finished goods. Book hotel rooms two months ahead - April is peak season in Wan Chai.
If you cannot make the dates, send us your specification and we will quote from Shenzhen the same week.
